Did this d ude mess up bad, or were the cracks too big? Because most of the large cracks are visible. Not only that, the 3 holes the dude drilled to inject the resin are visible too! :(

Sorry to see that. I have a dent just above the front of the door frame on my car from a boulder that was tossed up by a truck in the left lane. I don’t know which is worse , dented metal or broken glass, but it doesn’t matter because they both suck. I do remember instinctively dodging/diving when this came flying at me, afraid it was going to come right through and nail me in the face.

On the bright side, it looks like the perfect spot to mount a phone or GPS...

Yep, both suck :(

Hopefully it’s fixable.

I mount my phone on the ac vents where my short hands can reach the phone lol Otherwise that's a good idea.

That’s a double tap too, I bet you could see what ended up being a fairly large rock. I’ll but money on it being from the other side of the highway too, I’ve had that happen and 9 times out of 10, they’ll leave a hell of a chip.

Sucks! If it’s any consolation, I noticed a similarly sized single chip on the wife’s windshield the other day.

Mine wasn’t much better. Rocks suck. Dump trucks suck by association. Gravel is pure evil. Some gravel has tried to get intimate with my car all too often and it always sucks . Mostly it has taken its toll on the paint but my windshield is not without a few war wounds itself. But nothing like that . Hope your day gets better, buddy.

indshield is chipped too.

The paint on my hood and windshield has ro ck chips. That’s what I get for having a car I love as my only car. Can’t afford another car in Toronto yet.

Oof. Leave any dents? At least it didn’t create full blown crack, yet. I don’t know much but there is some preventative stuff you might want to look into to stop that blemish from maturing .

I basically just have baby ones of those that only pierced the laminate and first glass layer all over my windshield. I also have one side window’s laminant  shredded by cat claws so could be worse ;)

Well that sucks. It looks worse than when you started. At least it probably won't turn into a massive crack necessitating a new windshield but. . . you do have a stimulus check.

On one hand I won't have to replace my windshield. On the other hand, now I really want to replace my windshield and I'm out 80 bucks :(

No stimulus for me. I live in Canada. But things are better here in terms of Corona management and for unemployed people.

That sucks. It’s was a big crack, but I think it is supposed to be repairable (with better results than you got).

My insurance (state farm) has zero deductible, which doesn’t change the rates if it’s just glass. Hopefully you do too!

Glass repairs shouldn’t go on Carfax. Your rates, I’d be very surprised if they went up for windshield replacement. I used to have to get one per year when I lived in an area with a lot of gravel trucks who refused to cover their loads. My insurance at the time would cover 1 per year deductible-free. Considered more or less a normal wear and tear/maintenance item.

Zero deductible would be a dream. I’m paying 3500 a year in insurance with a $1000 deductible. W elcome to Ontario!
